Harrison Tsosie is Diyin Nohookáá Diné’é. His clan is Kinyaa’aanii, father is Kin Łichíi’nii; Cheii is Tábąąhí, Nalii is Tó Dích’íi’nii. Mr. Tsosie is from Tse Aweé’é (Baby Rocks, Az.) Mr. Tsosie is married to Gerilyn Tsosie who is Hashk’ąąn Hadzohí. Mr. Tsosie has three children, two boys, David and Justin and a girl, Geena.
Mr. Tsosie is the Executive Director of the Office of Navajo Government Development. Mr. Tsosie graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Native American Studies. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Utah, College of Law.
Mr. Tsosie has worked in many lawyer capacities including serving as General Counsel for Navajo Transitional Energy Company; the Attorney General for the Navajo Nation with the Ben Shelly administration, the Deputy Attorney General with the Joe Shirley, Jr. administration, Staff Attorney with Dine’ Power Authority and Staff Attorney for Navajo Agricultural Products Industry. Right out of law school, Mr. Tsosie created a private practice in Salt Lake City.
