On July 16, 2025, the Office of Navajo Government Development unveiled the Diyin Nohookáá Diné’é Bi Beehaz’áanii Bitsí Siléí, the first-ever Navajo-written government reform proposal. Held in Chinle, AZ, this historic event brought together community members, tribal leaders, and special guests to mark a milestone in advancing Navajo self-governance. Over 100 attendees participated in person, with many more joining online and by radio to hear the ONGD’s presentation and share their input. The proposal remains open for public review and feedback through March 6, 2026.
